"The song is about ´awakening.´ It´s about realizing how many things that we take for granted may actually be something entirely different in reality. As a sub-theme, it references people´s selfishness and pursuit of self-interest without caring about the outcome."
"Distant Waves" is released with a visually stunning music video directed by Arto Kettunen. Kettunen mentions that the vision for the video came to him while watching the Smurfs. The video was filmed at the home of Petteri "Spöde" Vaalimaa, the bassist of RED ELEVEN, in Varkaus.
